Juice Cleanse

Updated: Dec 15, 2020

I'm going to say it.

In my opinion if you sell skinny teas, body wraps, cleanse challenges, any sort of body detoxifying crap, MAN SHAKE and the LADY SHAKE, you are a bad person.

For the people buying into any of this stuff, I really feel sorry for you.

It's not you fault.

You are just being scammed and need to be educated.

These thing sounds good at face value.

"Four weeks of just drinking two shakes a day and the kg's will just fall off you!"

Yes, they probably will.

BUT, 99.999% of the time, once the four weeks are done and you have lost all the kg's, you will go straight back to your old dieting habits and put all the weight back on.

These things are not sustainable.

You can not just live off meal replacement shakes for the rest of your life.

Life's is to be enjoyed.

One of the best parts of life is being able to eat good tasty food.

Having shakes every day for the rest of your life is unrealistic because it is fucking boring.

With weight loss, your diet needs to be something you can sustain and for LIFE.

You do not want to be on the roller coaster of extreme dieting where you lose rapid weight, then put it all back on.

This is what all these diets, skinny teas, shakes and etc do.

If you want to lose weight, the best and easiest way to do so is just by simply tracking your calories.

Believe it or not, you can actually lose weight just by eating pizza.

Obviously that wouldn't be ideal because you wouldn't be able to eat much due to pizza being really high in calories.

But if you are in a consistent calorie deficit, you will lose weight.

Ideally, you are eating a good well balanced diet consisting of all food groups.

High protein and Fibre is best as these foods will keep you feeling fuller for longer, while also allowing your body to recover and build muscle from resistance training.

Also, weight loss should be a slow process.

The quicker you lose the weight, the more likely you are to put it back on.

It should be a patient process of gradually decreasing your calories so that your body and metabolism can adjust over time.

Going from 2500 cals a day straight to 1200 is quite a big difference and you'll struggle with the hunger and energy.

Plus losing weight slowly makes it easier to sustain and build muscle.

You must also understand that weight loss is not a linear.

Your body weight will fluctuate.

Just be patient and take your time.

You changing your lifestyle does not happen over night.

If you have been using your mouth as a vacuum for junk food for the last 10 years, do you think it will just take one month to turn your life around?

It won't.

So please, don't do a juice cleanse.
